22 June 2017 – UKRL has completed work on Europhoenix’s 37601 in advance of the locomotive’s return to service with Rail Operations Group (ROG). The extensive repairs were undertaken at UKRL’s Leicester depot and include:
·       Recommissioning exam/works
·       Engine cylinder head/piston/liner replacement
·       Engine camshaft replacement

·       Body corrosion repairs
This is the 2nd Class 37 locomotive UKRL has returned to service for Europhoenix, following the complete overhaul of 37800 last year. Both of these, along with Europhoenix other rolling stock, are maintained by UKRL at Leicester as part of our role as fleet manager for ROG, who operate the locomotives.
